Interior spaces in transition: Mediating light, surface and movement through time.
This practice-led research reflects on a drawing and making practice that is specifically attentive and responsive to the dynamic interplay of light, surface, and material transformations associated with interior spaces and interior design. The research uses expanded drawing and making practices encompassing diagrams, three-dimensional models, moving images, and installation through different contexts and scales. Physical and digital content is integrated through hybrid operations to capture the often-mobilised spatial elements encountered within continually shifting interior environments. This research offers a set of methods and modalities for working with the dynamic and contingent relations of interior spaces formed by incidental and unfolding experiences.
