Beast, set and lighting design, 2006

 

Set and lighting design for 'Beast' (Installation/performance) at The Foundry, Queens Parade Fitzroy North.

A theatrical adaptation of the narrative The Company of Wolves, from Angela Carters book The Bloody Chamber.

The set design responded to the gothic themes within the book set and lighting became responsive characters within each scene. The central element of the set a suspended tree of light and shadow activated throughout the performance through mechanised rope and pulley system that characters moved up and down throughout the performance.
